baby month card giveaway!
One of our most popular products is our Baby Month cards. The idea is to photograph your baby each month with the card. Each set contains cards for months 1-12 – it's an excellent way to see your baby's growth in the first year
and you end up with a lovely sequence of photos that can be framed in a grid.
To continue our baby-themed week, we are giving away a set of Baby Month cards in your color choice: pale pink, poppy orange (not shown), pool blue or sage green. The cards retail for $18 + $7 shipping = $25. If you would like to purchase a set, email us at info@blonde-designs.com.
To enter this giveaway, please respond to this post telling us what your favorite children's gift is to give or receive.
We will announce the winner on Monday, October 26th.

My favorite new baby gift to give is a onesie with their first name initial appliqued on it. It's such a fun personal gift to give.
My favorite gift to give is bath toys. My sister once told me that her kids could always use more bath toys, which they use ALL the time. Now whenever I get to give a fun gift for a baby or small child, I always give bath toys and the mother's always comment on how that's the one toy their children could use more of.
My favorite gift are things like this!! Stuff that no one else things of, but that ANYONE would love.
Aden & Anais muslin swaddling blankets! They are the best!

My favorite gift to give is a basket full of my daughter's favotire things...lulabye cds, bubble bath, bath toys, Sophie the giraffe, etc. It helps when I know from experience that these items really do work and are great to have around.
I love to give books. There are already going to be a thousand onesies and cute little outfits, but rarely do babies get books!
I love receiving handmade gifts. My 6 & 3 yr old enjoy giving their "favorite things". Recently, my 6 yr old realized that all of her favorite baby things started with B (Baby Einstein book, binky, blanket and bottle) They decided that the theme gift to their baby cousin on the way would be "B is for baby". That gift included all of their favorite baby things starting with B.
my favorite gift to give is one that is handmade...i have been knitting hats and booties. i have a friend who is pregnant...she will receive hats and booties along with an embroidered quilt (from doodle stitiching). these cards would be a lovely addition!
We haven't had any showers yet - we won't be until Little C is a month old (she's only 4 days old now and was a scooch early). But so far, I love sleepsacks. And the little handmade blankets that her great grandma made for her (quilts, receiving, and just general blankets).
To give: My favorite books - and if the name is already known hopefully I can find a kids book with the name in the title. We found the books at a later time, and they are not the greatest books, but our nieces love the books that have characters with their names (even if the one character is a pig or something).
The cards are gorgeous and simple. Love that.
I really like the Under the Nile baby toys, especially the fruit and veg collection. They are organic, sweet, and delightfully "teethable". I also like giving a set of Trumpette socks, they have fun styles for either gender.
I love getting anything homemade, it makes it so much more special!
I just had to pop in to say how much I love this idea, and how much it makes me want to cry that I cannot go back in time 11 months when I could have used it for my girl. (Of course, then I would have been mourning the fact that I didn't use it for her older brother, so perhaps it's all for the best.) Simple genius; what a great gift this would make for an expectant mama!
My current favorite gift to give is a little hanging basket/bag filled, and tucked in amongst the necessities are usually medical supplies (thermometer, infant tylenol, saline spray). My husband insisted this was the only way to go, gift-wise, and now I can't get away from it. As far as receiving goes, you can never have too many books!
Books are the best gift to give.
Anything monogrammed adds a very personal touch and is very thoughtful.
I love to give baby clothes {they're just so adorable}, soft blankets and books.
I like to give a Pendleton Crib blanket to the babies in our lives. They are special, as we are from Pendleton, useful, and a keepsake!
I like to embroider onesies for the new baby.
I love giving books. My daughter's favorites are ABC NYC and I Love My Papa.
I think sign language is very important for babies to learn and use. The last gift I gave was a sign language book and dvd.
The Baby Month cards are lovely! Such a great idea.
i'm not a doula, but i am a person who people seem to call upon when in labor. i have sat through and assisted with many births, all very different. but here's the thing they all have in common--birth takes a day at least. so it's become my policy to knit a hat for the baby who is about to be born while i wait with his/her mother for the arrival. it give my hands a thing to do in between meeting the mother's needs, and it gives the gift meaning for the mother and the baby to come.
these cards are such a cute idea--i wish i had known they existed when my son was born!

oops--posted twice--sorry about that!
We love to get books, particularly ones with local folklore stories that people bring back from their travels around the world.
My favorite gift to give is a board book copy of a children's book called "More, More, More, Said the Baby"...it will last through the ages.
And my favorite gift to receive is anything homemade.
Since I am pregnant with my first child I haven't received too many gifts just yet... but my favorite gift to give is a picture book with matching stuffed animal or toy. I am a school librarian so I think books make a great gift for any occasion.
