girl next door holiday show
When my husband and I moved to Las Vegas from our beloved NYC, I missed many things, chief among them was the art and design that seems to envelope you in The City (NYC, not the TV show!). Much to my surprise, I found a group of friends in Las Vegas who are so artistic and creative that I am constantly in awe of them (it's nice to surround yourself with people you aspire to be!).
They were kind enough to invite me to participate in their twice-yearly Girl Next Door show which brings together local artists and designers who sell some of the coolest things around. This is not your average holiday show featuring candles and the like (no offense) – rather, this show features fine art, beautiful hand-stitched baby blankets, darling handmade children's clothing, original jewelry, and the list goes on and on.
I will be participating in the show again this year, selling select items from Blonde Designs: holiday gift tags, 12 Months of Baby cards and taking custom orders for stationery. For one night only (brace yourselves), I will be offering these items at wholesale prices (50% off retail). If you happen to be in Las Vegas this Thursday, December 3rd, from 7-9 p.m., stop by! The location can be found on the link above.
Here's a small sampling of some of the wares:
The lovely Kirsten, whom we featured with a giveaway a few weeks ago, always produces the most darling illustrations.
My friend, Jennie, always comes up with the most clever items – necklaces made out of Scrabble tiles, felt flower headbands... I must also mention that Jennie happens to be an excellent photographer.
Hope to see you there!

The Girl Next Door show was a huge success! Thank you to all our readers for stopping by to visit – it's so nice to feel that we have fans out there.
Check out Kirsten's blog for updated photos from the show.

The frames were cute. It reminds me of my cousin who love to take some pictures.
