modern quilt

Recently, I have received many thoughtful baby gifts from friends and family. My very talented friend, Renee, made me a quilt inspired by one I saw on www.katiedid.squarespace.com. She used the colors of my baby's nursery (grey & pale yellow) and even incorporated a blonde designs elephant illustration. I love it and it has been the perfect backdrop for baby Will's many photoshoots. Renee made me promise to use the quilt, as opposed to keep it tucked safely in a drawer! It has already been well-used and I will continue to cherish it for years to come. Thank you, Renee!

Okay, the quilt is beautiful but I have another reason I'm so happy you posted this today. I spent nearly an hour the other night trying to refind the blog where I saw her quilting technique. What a beautiful quilt. I also love the fact that you have used grey in your nursery. People gave me a funny look when I told them I would be using grey for our nursery but I think it is really soft and sweet for a little baby.
