the fairy/princess party
My good friend, Laura, opened a darling party place for girls and this proved the perfect venue for Amelia's fete (full disclaimer: I also happened to have designed Laura's logo, pictured above). I love parties at home but since Amelia's birthday happens to fall in the middle of the holiday rush, I was very happy to outsource the party location.
After all the girls dressed up in appropriate fairy attire, they had a fashion show, played fairy games and had "tea" (aka apple juice) using Laura's miniature tea sets.
The water bottle labels carried through the overall theme.
Following the princess cake, the piece de resistance was the ice cream sundae bar. I do believe there may have been more toppings eaten than actual ice cream but the girls had a ball doing it all themselves. That is exactly one of the reasons I was happy to do have had the party at a location other than my house. Think of all those sprinkles buried in your carpet for weeks to come!
Even little fairies got in on the fun! I was just happy to go to home to a clean house.
Onto the next party planning (Charlotte turns 7 in March!). Stay tuned....

I thought their logo looked very Blonde-esque....no wonder!
I liked to have parties at my home as well, my daughter had a tea party for her 5th birthday and they all dresses in their fancy dresses, I took photos and they decorated frames for their pictures. I also made petit fours and we served friut tea and little sandwiches. It was a great party! But one of the best was a dinosaur party for my son at a local park. We had a dinosaur egg hunt that turned our to be a watermelon. we made dinoramas with those little dinosaurs and the kids had a great time. I love birthday parties!
This is pure brilliance in pink. Love the entire theme, and many kudos for your creativity in every element of the party. The cookies & cake are little works of art...I'm super impressed!
Looks like a very fun fairy princess party. Can't wait for the Batman party blog entry next year. :)
