valentine banners
My kids have been wanting me to put up some Valentine decorations (they love any festive decor in our house), but wasn't thrilled with anything I'd been seeing in the stores. This week I found some red heart doilies and made a garland with narrow pink ribbon. I loved the simplicity of it and ended up making a few more to hang around the house.
I also made a "Happy Valentine's Day" banner. It turned out to be quite large so I decided to display it on a wall in my entryway. I took down the framed picture that was on the wall and hung it above my settee. Now it's a surprise greeting to anyone that comes inside our front door. On a side note, I looked to see if Pottery Barn still carried this settee but I don't see it on their website. This one is similar and pretty too.

Cute Ideas! I always love the little bits and pieces of your house that you show. Have you ever considered doing a house tour on the blog? From some of the pics I've seen it looks lovely!
Cute ideas!!! Your house looks lovely too!
I'm trying to make a banner like yours but do you use Adobe Photoshop or some other design program? I have abosutely no idea how to use Photoshop but somehow managed to do all the "red" cards but when I try to change the background color to pink, I can't! Any ideas?
Using the doilies is such a great and simple idea! So effective!!
A girlfriend of mine had a valentine's party last week and had these Valentine's topiaries (check out the last picture) hanging from her dining room chandelier. They were DARLING and so easy to make.
Love the blog... and LOVE those sugar cookies.

I love your site and everything you do is so amazing!!
this is totally random, and not really related to what you do - but i love the fabric on the bench you have under the Valentine's banner. I'd love to know if you have the designer, name, etc. thanks!!!

i love the way you decorated your saloon I wonder if you have a Buy Generic Viagra thematic decoration for me
I love the Valentine banners specially when people write in them words like Buy Viagra, buy viagra because that's the most perfect motivation for couples in order to having a perfect day, I mean it's like a subliminal message.
