photo booth valentines
This year my kids decided to make photo booth-inspired valentines to hand out to their friends at school. I hung some pink wrapping paper as a backdrop and took pictures of them holding signs I printed out. I created a template in illustrator with a black border around the pictures and printed them out on glossy photo paper. Easy!
They didn't think it counted as a valentine without a treat or candy, so we included some pixie sticks and red and pink pencils. We stuck them on the back with a little piece of double-stick tape and wrapped a piece of bakers twine around to secure them. Rees and James are excited to hand these out at school. Although, truth be told, they would also be thrilled if I would let them pick out the store-bought valentines at Target.

These are adorable. I mean, the best Valentines I've seen. Truly. So clever, Kristin.
So awesome! Could also be a fun save the date for a wedding!
Valentine's Day was definitely my favorite holiday as a kid. Heck, I still swoon for the cute decor! My SF apartment is most certainly decked out in floral wreaths, sparkly letters strung on pink ribbon to spell out "LOVE" and cupid clings on the mirrors.
I just bought a big spool of baker's twine. It makes a great paperweight on my desk! And it's so practical, too.
My daughter is getting married in the fall. I love this idea for save the date cards. So cleaver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try this!
EEK! Super cute- I may have to steal your idea!
Great idea!
So you always have these fabulous idea, and in order to pin them on Pinterest I have to save a photo to my computer, then upload it to Pinterest and in the comments leave a link to your post. When I try pinning them normally Pinterest can't find any pictures large enough to pin, so it won't do it. Is there a way to fix this so that I can just pin your fabulous ideas regularly? It is because you have some kind of protection on the photos, b/c they seem large enough to me. Thanks for any help you can be! I really want to be able to just have people click on the pictures in Pinterest and automatically be taken back to your site, instead of clicking on the link in my comments section.

This craft is so creative. We can use this not only on valentines but also for any special occasions, just change theme.
